Creating and Using Grid Templates

Creating and Using Grid Templates

If you have used the Grid tools to arrange a custom Grid view that suits your needs, you can save that particular arrangement of filters, groups, sorts, columns, display items, and even searches as a Grid Template which may be quickly recalled later.

Creating Grid Templates

  1. Use Grid Features, Searches, or both to customize a Grid.
  2. Click Save as Template from the right of the Grid.
  3. Specify how to save your Grid Template:
    • By default Save as new is selected. Enter a name for the new Grid Template.
    • Alternatively, to update an existing Grid Template, click Save as and choose an existing personal Grid Template to overwrite.
  4. Click Save.
    • Optional: Select the Include Search check box to store any active search criteria with your Grid template.
Warning! Clicking Save as Default will overwrite the system default template and make your current layout the default view of this Grid for all Users in your firm. See Changing Grid Defaults for information on properly using this selection.

Loading Grid Templates

  1. Navigate to the Grid that you saved a Grid Template for.
  2. Click Load Template from the right of the Grid.
